  I hike this trail regularly for excercise because it's basically in my back yard. If you stay on the outer boundry (Don't take any of the short cuts) and do both loops the trail is 1.9 - 2.0 miles. The conection point for the two loops is a bridge over a small stream . . . For whatever reason this particular spot seems to attract pot smokers . . . I'm guessing because it's back away from the parking area and is well hidden by tree cover etc., so if you're sensitive about that kind of thing or have young children in tow you've been warned !!
